The Irish Hockey Forum isn't run by rules, but is maintained and Moderated by a group of Ice Hockey fans who have volunteered to put themselves in the position of making difficult judgement calls. To make our lives easier, please observe and adhere to the following simple Guidelines:
We reserve the right to remove any Topics or Posts that we deem inappropriate or disruptive to the The Scottish Hockey Forum members. We do not censor opinions or ideas on The Irish Hockey Forum, but we do take action against Posts and/or Topics that could cause unrest beyond a civil and polite disagreement. We reserve the right to ban any member who violates The Irish Hockey Forum guidelines. Although we don't have to give reasons, we will be fair and provide a warning in most cases.
Don't make posts that are inflammatory just to get people riled up. No Member should engage in personal attacks on any other Member. Personal attacks are defined as Personal, Racial, Ethnic and Gender based insults, slurs, or derisive comments. Criticise ideas, not people. Flaming will not be tolerated.
Restrict the use of excessive foul language. We aren't saying you can't express your opinion, but there are ways to do so without swearing.
No text speak will be permitted and any post containing text speak will be deleted without explanation.
No pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectifying material or any link to such material. We'd like for our Members to be able to read The Irish Hockey Forum at work or at home and share it with their family and friends.
Do NOT 'Hotlink' to graphical images used on The Irish Hockey Forum.
Where links to external Websites are posted by Members, please be aware that The Irish Hockey Forum cannot be held responsible for the content of any such external Websites. Click on external links at your own risk.
All complaints need to be communicated privately to an Administrator or Moderator using either the PM System and/or E-Mail. In the event of this, the offending post will be edited or removed and the offending party shall receive a warning. If the behavior continues, the Member will be banned. All we want is a little community consideration and no personal attacks. Let's all work together to accomplish this please.
Please post in the right Forum!
Only one Membership Account per person is permitted, there is no need for multiple Accounts on The Irish Hockey Forum
Respect the privacy of others. Do not post other Members phone numbers, addresses, pictures, personal details etc., without their permission.
Blatant advertising of products is not tolerated. We cannot allow the free advertising of products or services on The Irish Hockey Forum in Posts or Member signatures.
The selling of items for personal gain is not permitted on The Irish Hockey Forum. Try 'Ebay' or 'Exchange And Mart' instead, that's what they do.
Use descriptive subject lines and research your post. This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for Members to see what they do or don't want to read.
The Irish Hockey Forum logs the source IP address of every Post made. Third parties may request the source IP address of Posts which they deem to be libellous in order to trace the originator - this is very easily done. The Irish Hockey Forum will co-operate with any third party with legal rights to access this information.
The Irish Hockey Forum may not be copied, distributed, or used in any form without the expressed written permission of the Owner; This includes, but is not limited to, Websites, Newsgroups and Message Boards.

These opinions and views do not represent the opinions and views of The Irish Hockey Forum Administrators or Moderators, Ice Hockey Clubs, Ice Hockey Governing Bodies, Ice Hockey Leagues, Players or Officials. Although the available Forums enable Members to express their opinions on a wide range of topics, this must stay within the bounds of legality. Such is the nature of On-line Forums and Communities, The Irish Hockey Forum cannot be held responsible for any material posted on any of the available Forums.
